Lean Practices, Perceived Environmental Uncertainty, and Business Performance: a Quantitative Study of Smes in Thailand

Purpose: The objective of this study was to investigate the moderating role environmental uncertainty (EU) on relationship between lean practices (LP) and business performance (BP) in SMEs Thailand. Design/methodology/approach: 170 samples middle management level persons who were aware concepts or from 120 manufacturing companies We analyzed by multiple linear regression analysis (MLR). Findings: results revealed that process have a significant impact with direct negative effect. For key result, only Statistical Process Control (SPC) employee involvement (EI) result positive significantly impactful, Just Time JIT customer control four dimensions Lean Practices including supplier development SD, Setup Reduction (STR), involvement, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Research, Practical & Social Implications: This provides Thailand their which contributes economic Further research should focus specific industries. Originality/value: Research are especially important SMEs.
